THE STORY
Forged in blood and fury by the weapon-smiths of Khorne, eight artefacts of unspeakable power were loosed upon the Mortal Realms—each a relic of annihilation, each a beacon to the Ruinous Powers. They are the Eight Lamentations, and wherever they lie, war and madness follow.

In the shadows of a city steeped in secrets, Grungni, the forge-god of the duardin, gathers a disparate fellowship: a haunted aelven assassin, a duardin exile, a cryptic prophet, and warriors both noble and damned. United not by trust, but by necessity, they are tasked with finding and sealing away the first of these dread weapons—the Spear of Shadows—before it falls into the hands of Chaos.

But others seek the Spear: champions of the Dark Gods, monstrous warbands, and worse still, things that move in the dark places between realms.

What follows is a journey across war-torn lands and crumbling civilizations, where myth and nightmare walk hand in hand, and betrayal may strike from within as surely as from without.

The fate of the realms rests on blades drawn in silence and blood spilled in secret. For if even one of the Eight should awaken fully, all will be lost.
