Sunrise City is a strategic tile-laying board game where players compete to design the most successful city by carefully placing zones, bidding for influence, and constructing buildings at just the right moment. With a unique scoring system that rewards precise planning rather than simply racing for points, every decision shapes how your city grows.

During the game, players build the city using zone tiles, then bid for control of those zones before placing building tiles to gain advantages and earn points. Each round also features role cards that grant special abilities during different phases of the game, adding tactical depth and giving players new ways to influence the city’s development.

Points earned throughout the game move your marker along a 10-point score track, but timing is everything. When your marker reaches the star at the end of the track, you earn benchmark tokens—the key to victory. Overshoot the star and you earn one benchmark, but land on it by exact count and you earn two benchmarks, rewarding players who plan their scoring carefully.

After three rounds, the player with the most benchmark tokens wins the game.
